Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms set out the conditions and procedures for using CouchColumbus (the "Service"), and the rights and obligations of users and of the operator.
Article 2 (Nature of the Service)
- The Service is an entertainment tool that generates a fictional travel itinerary based on a destination the user specifies and displays it on a map.
- The cities, dates, numbers of nights and distances generated are not statements of fact, and bear no relation to real travel records, flights or booking information.
- The Service does not create accounts and does not keep user data on a server.
Article 3 (Prohibited Conduct)
Users must not use output generated by the Service in the following ways.
- Presenting it as an actual visit or travel record in order to deceive another person.
- Submitting it as evidence of fact in insurance, accounting, attendance records, legal proceedings or the like.
- Using it to damage another person's reputation or infringe their rights.
- Automated access that places an excessive load on the Service or on the external services it uses.
Article 4 (Disclaimer)
- The Service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of fitness for a particular purpose or of uninterrupted availability.
- Travel records stored in the user's browser may disappear without notice through changes to browser settings, storage clearing, a change of device and so on, and the operator cannot recover them.
- Map and place information is provided by a third party (Google), and the operator is not responsible for its accuracy.
- The user bears responsibility for any consequences arising from their breach of Article 3.
Article 5 (Changes to These Terms)
The operator may change these terms where necessary, and the changed terms apply from the moment they are posted on this page.
